Riffs on the main front cover idea- with me  trying to decide who's on the back.

There was a whole round of roughs before it.
and a whole series of last minute shenanigans as a commitee descends
and attempts to design after the fact-

or the colour as the case may be.

 and probably searching for work as well.

Well I *think * I've finished Little Bad Wolf.

Now staggering about trying to see where I was at a few months back-
one of the things  I'd nearly finished was roughs of the book idea......"Over is out"

It has been decided that I need to get a job....
so I suppose I'll have to brush up the blog and brush up/redo the website....

but I think I'll spend the remainder of the week and finish the roughs for that book so at  least its at a showable/pitchable stage.

Half baked unfortunately- started on the left with dress decorations and .....nothing on the right.
A scratchy idea for a Little Bad Wolf character.

 Just need to learn more about princess dresses I guess.

Back onto "Over is Out"

Still working on it between times.
Need to dive back into Little Bad wolf too- but I just need to complete these greyscale roughs so I can at least pitch the book at people properly.

Some of the idle ideas for Little Bad Wolf's neighbours.
Little bad wolf lives in a suburb where every house is a microcosm of some fairytale setting- but with some modernity thrown in.

Normally my initial sketchbook ideas are completely unreadable....these moderately so.
That's ok  -they're in a blog that's largely unread- so nature keeps its balance.

Title page...how to do it?

Starting to look at title page...want to fit this idea into it somehow.

Like the idea that he runs through the house jumping over (and under things) to tie in with the over /under theme.
Just need to make it sit nicely....so I'll try a few more ways

Oz comic con- abandoned art

Watercolours I started....but then gave up on. The dragon I couldn't decide on colours -and it was turning to mud so I thought I'll stop there. The ghoul guy with the axe isn't so bad in itself in a sketchy way-but an other pass of detail would do a lot.
